Advancing Our Biodiversity Journey Through Collaborative Learning

TM Systems® is pleased to be participating in the Nefco Biodiversity Pilot Programme designed to help organizations better understand their relationship with nature and develop practical approaches to biodiversity management. The programme aligns with our commitment to continuous learning, responsible business practices, and the ongoing development of our sustainability work.

As biodiversity becomes an increasingly important topic for businesses worldwide, we believe it is essential to strengthen our understanding of nature-related impacts, dependencies, risks, and opportunities. By joining the programme, we wanted to expand our knowledge, learn from experts and peers, and build a stronger foundation for integrating biodiversity considerations into our operations and decision-making.

Participation in the Nefco Biodiversity Pilot Programme has provided valuable insights, practical tools, and expert guidance to support our biodiversity journey. It has helped us assess our current position, increase internal awareness of biodiversity-related topics, and establish a more structured approach to managing biodiversity issues within our organization. The programme has also reinforced the importance of considering biodiversity alongside other key sustainability priorities.

A significant outcome of our participation has been the ongoing development of our Biodiversity Management Plan. While the work is still in progress, the programme has helped us identify priorities, evaluate current practices, and create a framework for future actions. This process has strengthened our understanding of where we can contribute most effectively and how biodiversity considerations can be embedded into our long-term sustainability efforts.

At TM Systems®, we develop technologies that help our industrial customers operate more efficiently, reliably, and competitively. Our solutions include material recovery and recycling technologies, emission control solutions, energy-efficiency improvements, and industrial air systems. These technologies are designed primarily to enhance industrial processes and support our customers’ operational and business objectives.

At the same time, our solutions are developed with sustainability in mind. The same technologies that improve process performance can also help reduce emissions, optimize energy consumption, recover valuable materials, and enable more efficient use of natural resources. We believe that the most impactful sustainability solutions are often those that create both business value and environmental benefits simultaneously. By helping our customers achieve their operational goals more efficiently, our technologies can also contribute to reducing environmental pressures associated with resource use, pollution, and climate change, which are among the key drivers of biodiversity loss.

TM Systems® provides solutions such as the Zero-Ex® emission control system, which can be retrofitted into existing industrial processes for air cleaning, heat recovery and water recovery. By removing emissions including sulphur-containing compounds (contributors to acid rain), volatile organic compounds (VOCs), harmful particulate matter, fog and excess heat from the exhaust air before it is released to the atmosphere, Zero-Ex® helps customers reduce the environmental impact of their operations and improve process efficiency.

Looking ahead, TM Systems® will continue developing the Biodiversity Management Plan and deepening the understanding of biodiversity-related impacts and opportunities. Our focus will be on identifying practical actions that help reduce negative impacts on nature, support positive outcomes where possible, and integrate biodiversity considerations into relevant business processes. We are committed to continuous improvement and look forward to advancing this work together with our stakeholders and partners.
